My Masters Favorite Seafood

"Giggle"

My Masters Favorite Seafood

1 lb shrimp (peeled and deveined)
1 lb dry packed sea scallops, de-footed
Peanut or Crisco oil

2 T Pickled Ginger, chopped
2 T honey
2 T Dark sesame oil
1 T olive oil
Splash of the pickled ginger brine
1/2 chopped sweet onion
1 T soy sauce

In a fry pan, heat the sesame oil and the olive oil till shimmering, add the onion, and fry till softened, add the ginger and fry a moment, add the honey, brine and soy sauce. move to a cold burner and then transfer the sauce to a bowl. Wipe out the pan and add a little oil  and heat till its smoking, sear the seafood on both sides then add the sauce and fry a minute and stir stir till coated...

Serve it to your Master over sticky rice, and beg Him to feed you some out of His Hand...

Optional: Use a combo of shrimp, scallops, lobster meat, rock shrimp, langoustine, crawdads, squid rings (add right at the end of cooking to keep them tender) etc. JUST NO CLAMS OYSTERS OR MUSSELS OR FISH!

I created this recipe years ago during a very precious time in my life...
wink!

Note: if you cant find the dry packed scallops, then buy FROZEN, let thaw and drain in a colander and pat as dry as you can.
