Fried Green Tomato Rings


It's the start of Spring, The hard Green Tomatoes are just starting to be seen at the market.
Are ya gonna let em sit on your window sill for 2 weeks till they get pink?
NO! Fry them!


Buy the hardest greenest ones.
Peel em with a potato peeler gently (I do this additional step so the breading sticks completely)
Then slice em up, carefully cut out the seeds and 4 inner ribs.

Then set up your breading station

1)
Dip in plain flour
.
2)
Dip in beaten egg
.
3)
Dip in a mixture of pulverized Stove Top Cornbread Stuffing (pulse in food processor) with a dash Cayenne, Salt 'n Pepper, and a big pinch Garlic Powder
.
4)
Fry in hot oil til coating is golden and crispy, serve with BBQ sauce and Tabasco! 
Yuuummm!

You can also, use firm red tomatoes!
