Tomatoes, coated in tomato soup, dredged in spicy, spiced, tomato batter, topped with Mozzarella and Pepperoncini hot sauce!
Tomato Fried Tomatoes
4 large Red Very Firm Tomatoes
1/2 cup flour
1 can Tomato soup
1 can water
Add the water to the soup and measure out 1 cup
Mix the flour and tomato soup
Peel the tomatoes carefully with a potato peeler, and pat dry, then slice. Pat excess moisture away.
and put all the tomato slices in the soup to coat.
Mix
1 cup flour
1 t oregano
1 t cumin
1 cup Flamin Hot Cheetos powder (Or Fritos if you want non spicy)
1/3 cup Tomato Powder
1/2 t salt
1/2 t pepper
Put everything in a Vitamix and blitz it till completely combined then put it all in a big bowl
Heat up an inch of oil in a frying pan on medium and dip slices in the dry mixture and fry till golden on both sides. Repeat until all the slices are done.
Put in a 350F on parchment to keep warm.
Serve with shredded mozz and this hot sauce
