Chocolate Pumpernickel Bread Pudding

 

Deep, Dark, Rich Chocolate Bread Pudding for adults. Soak it in brandy or rum for a kick

 

 

 Chocolate Pumpernickel Bread Pudding

 
2 loaves pumpernickel bread, cut into large chunks
3 bottles Nesquick chocolate milk
6 eggs
2 cups heavy cream
2 Bags dark chocolate chips
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup Black Cocoa
1/3 cup molasses
1 cup mixed chopped nuts
1/2 cup raisins ...
Rum or Brandy (Optional)
 

Melt the chocolate in the chocolate milk and cream in a pot, on medium, add the cocoa, sugar and molasses, and let cool thoroughly.

Preheat the oven to 350oF

Butter a casserole dish, and put the bread inside, toss in the nuts and raisins.

Whisk the eggs into the Milk and pour over the bread. 

Bake for 45 minutes or until the center registers 160F! If it starts to burn on top before its really done place a tin foil tent over it until done! 

If you want soak it in Brandy or Dark Rum
