Candied Apple Roses

This recipe/idea came about as a result of me playing with my food, namely dried apples.

Candied Apple Roses

1/2 cup Appl-Ez
2-1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup water

Several packages of Target brand (Market Pantry not Archer Farms) dried apples.

Toothpicks or bamboo skewers

Spray a few cookie sheets with Pam

Open up at least 2 packages of the Apples into a bowl, carefully shape little roses out of them and insert a skewer to hold shape together. You can do several on one skewer.

Do as many as you want or need...

Then,

Boil the Appl-Ez, Sugar and water til it comes to 300 degrees on a candy thermometer, take off heat and WORK QUICKLY!

Dip your roses to fully coat then lay "stem" side down on your cookie sheet...

Work fast cause the Appl-Ez will start to harden.

Let them harden on the cookie sheets until dry.

Eat like candy, Use to decorate cakes, or make mini bouquets
