Warm And Toasty Cake



Most of the ingredients in this cake are toasted, roasted or caramelized, giving it an unbelievably toasty flavor. So good served warm with coffee or tea.Truly one of the best cakes or things Ive ever invented. Enjoy!

Warm And Toasty Cake

2-1/2 cups Nestle Dulce De Leche
1 cup butter
4 eggs, room temp
1 cup Water, room temp
1 T vanilla
3 cups flour 
3-1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 t salt

Grease and flour 2 round cake pans, or a 9x13 inch sheet pan
Melt the butter in a pot until its brown and foamy. Pour into a glass bowl and place in the fridge to get solid again.

Bad picture, but you can see the color you are looking for, beer colored!

Meanwhile, toast the flour in a frying pan over medium heat, stirring constantly with a silicone spatula or spoon until it is beige or tan colored. Turn off the heat and immediately spread it out in a cookie sheet to completely cool.

When it is cool, mix it, the salt, and the baking powder. And sift it.
Preheat the oven to 350oF
Using a hand mixer combine the browned butter, eggs, Dulce and water until smooth, then add the flour mixture and mix until smooth pour into the pan(s) and bake for 35-45 mins or until a skewer inserted in the middle comes out clean. Let cool momentarily till warm, not hot.

Warm a tub of caramel apple dip in the microwave until its spreadable. Spread on the 9x13 cake in its pan and serve, Or spread the round cakes as shown.
