Tex-Mex Sushi

A plate full of YUM, Make you some today!
Tex-Mex Sushi
 
Serves 2

First lets make some hot rice

2 cups shortgrain rice
4 cups water
1 t Salt
In a big plastic bowl
5 mins on high
20 mins on 50%
OR Put it in a Rice Cooker

Lets make sushi


Steak Maki

Shortgrain rice
Chili Seasoning
2 unbroken Steak-Umms, cooked
 
Mix some hot rice with Chili Seasoning
Lay cooked Steak Umms on a sushi rolling matt, top with rice, 
Roll up tight, Sear Grill marks, Slice
 
 
 
Fried Chicken Maki
 
2 chicken steak umms
fried chicken flour
Egg
oil
shortgrain rice
 
Thaw out Chicken steakumms ON cling wrap laid on a sushi rolling mat
top with rice, roll up tight
Freeze it then dip in
fried chicken flour, then beaten egg, then flour again, deep fry in oil until the outside is crunchy and golden
Slice and serve

 
Guacamole Inari
 
sliced avocado
tones lemon pepper
shortgrain rice 
hot sauce
 
Mix some hot rice with tones lemon pepper
Make rectangles
Top with thinly sliced avocado
sprinkle with hot sauce
 
 
Breakfast Burrito Futomaki
 
 taco meat
shortgrain rice
refried beans
omelet
 
Make a thin rectangular omelet, 
Spread with refried beans, then rice
Then a strip of taco meat
Roll up and cut in rounds

 
Chipotle maki
 
Nori
Rice
a strip of canned Chipotle
Roll up

 Poblano Inari
 
Steam Poblanos, Stuff with
cilantro lime seasoned rice

 Jalapeno Popper Maki

cheesy nacho rice
in steamed jalapeno.
 
Baked Bean Bacon Gunkanmaki

Baked beans
Precooked bacon
Rice planks


Serve with 

Tex-Mex Sashimi

Rare sliced steak
Steamed jalapeno and other blanched veggie planks and slices
Cooked Baby Corn with Tajin Crema
fried plank potatoes 

Spicy tomato, Ranch Dressing, Chili and cumin oil
