This is my favorite home made dressing, but it is garlicky, so have an Altoid afterwards.
The Best Garlic Vinaigrette
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
2 teaspoons paprika
1 teaspoon dry mustard
3 cloves garlic pressed
1 teaspoon fresh minced basil
1/4 cup red wine (or champagne) vinegar
the juice of a lemon
2 teaspoons chopped flat leaf parsley
fresh ground pepper
sea salt to taste
Whisk all ingredients,place in fridge overnight to let the flavors develop, take out of the fridge at least 1/2 hour before serving to unsolidify the olive oil!
Try this on well washed spinach leaves with raw mushrooms and smoked turkey chunks!
Or chop some romaine, and put in a bowl with the leftover fresh basil and parsley, add some chopped smoked turkey, an avocado some cheddar and a tomato and drizzle on this dressng.
