Southern Sausage And Gravy Scalloped Potatoes

Southern Sausage And Gravy Scalloped Potatoes

 


4-5-6 Big New Potatoes 

Boil them whole in a pot of water for 15 minutes

Take them out of the water and carefully rub off the skins, let cool then slice

Gravy

4 T Flour
4 Cups Milk
1 cup White cheese (any kind you want)
1 t Salt and 1 t Pepper
1 pound breakfast sausage
5 slices bacon, chopped
1 onion, chopped
Rough Chopped Fresh Sage

Fry the sausage, bacon and onion in a pan till cooked, then sprinkle on the flour, salt and pepper and cook.

Then add the Milk and cheese and  let cook till thickened.

Butter a square baking dish and pout in 1/3 of the gravy, then line up one layer of potatoes, add more gravy, more potatoes, Gravy etc Sprinkle with sage and bake at 350F until hot brown and bubbly

Serve
