Shown: Tofu Vegan "Meat"
1 block exra firm tofu, crumbled
1 block Pacific Seitan, shaved
1 teaspoon Marmite
2 T browning
1/3 cup boiling water
1/2 t salt
1 finely chopped onion
Dissolve the Marmite in the water, add the browning and salt and pour over the Seitan or Tofu and marinate overnight
Fry the onion in some olive oil till brown then add the tofu or seitan and the marinade and stir to combine.
Let the mixture sit in the pan till it develops a fond, and sticks to the bottom of the pan and then start scraping it off the bottom of the pan with a wooden spatula or silicone spoon, keep doing this till its "seared" and mostly dried out and looks like cooked ground beef.
Use for anything.
