The classic German cookie in cake form
Pfeffernuesse Cake
Preheat oven to 350oF
Grease and flour two round cake pans
3 cups flour
4 t baking powder
2 t Cinnamon
1/2 t Cloves
2 t Anise
1/2 t Nutmeg
1/2 t Allspice
1/2 t Black Pepper
Dash Salt
Whisk the above together

1/2 cup molasses
1-1/2 cups packed brown sugar
1 cup butter, softened
4 eggs
1 cup milk
vanilla
Buzz all the wet ingredients in a blender till smooth,
Mix both AND 1 CUP SLICED ALMONDS together and pour into the pans and bake for 30 mins.
Cool
Frost with any vanilla frosting or fill with frosting and dust the bare cake with powdered sugar.
