Sweet Potato Donuts

 

 


 A Thanksgiving Treat

Sweet Potato Donuts

 2-1/2 cup mashed sweet potatoes
1 cup milk
3 eggs
2 T melted butter
1 t cinnamon
2 cups sugar
2 T baking powder
6 cups flour


oil

 

Heat sufficient oil to 300oF in a pan for frying.
 
Whisk the sugar, flour and and baking powder together, set aside.
 
Mix all the wet ingredients then add the dry.
 
Place a sheet with paper towels on the side.
 
Grease your hands or grease gloved hands and pull ping pong ball sized doughballs out of the batter and start dropping in about 6 to fry at a time.
When they get golden on the bottom, turn them over, when they are all golden, remove to the papertowel lined sheet and keep going till all done.

when cool, stuff them with Marshmallow Fluff and eat
