Caramelized Shortbread

Buttery, Toasty GOOD!
Caramelized Shortbread

This recipe involves your skill in juggling 2 pots at once

In a large pot put

2 sticks butter
1-3/4 cups flour

In a small pot put

3/4 cups sugar
1/2 stick butter
1 T Water
Vanilla

Saute them BOTH on medium heat, until BOTH mixtures turn golden

Like this


Combine both quickly in the large pot, turn off the heat and then pour into a square or small rectangular pan (I used my Toaster Ovens baking pan) and spread and wait till it cools to warm to cut it with a bench scraper. Serve.
