Bean Pastas -- A Review
Soybean Spaghetti, Black Bean Spaghetti, and Mung Bean Fettucini
All Cooked
And the Red Aduki/Azuki Bean Spaghetti
These are a semi-new wheat flour and konjac free alternative pasta line made by the company
Explore-Asian.
They are GlutenFree, Vegan, GMO Free, Organic, Kosher.
They are high in protein and fiber, and low in net carbs.
While not calorie free or carb free (1 serving has 5 carbs and 180 calories) they are an excellent choice for people wanting a more "real pasta like" texture and taste and who are tired of the rubberiness of those Shirataki noodles.
I did not like the Mung Bean Fettucini AT ALL. Too Beany.
The Black Bean were slightly better, but still too "BEANY"
I enjoyed the Soybean and Red Azuki Bean pastas the beast and I might thaw out a bag of my Pho Broth and buy some Holy Basil and beef and have a big bowl of Pho with those Soybean Noodles in the coming week.
The Soy Noodles have 162 cals and 5 g carbs per serving.
