Vegan French Onion Soup




Vegan French Onion Soup


1/4 cup Butter flavored coconut oil
2 lb Vidalia onions, sliced
3 cup Water
1/2 T Caramel Color 
1/3 cup Sherry
1 T Flour
1 T sugar
Salt and Pepper
Baguette
Vegan Cheese



Saute onions in the coconut oil with the sugar and salt and pepper in a large pot until they look like this.

In a bowl combine the Marmite, Caramel Color and boiling water and stir till its combined

When the onions are caramelized add Thyme and flour, stir till combined, then add the Sherry and simmer till the alcohol is gone. Add the Marmite mixture and simmer 10 minutes.

Ladle into heatproof mugs, top with toasted slices of Baguette and cheese and broil until bubbly.

Serve!
