Sleepy Time Chicken Meatballs

Sleepy Time Chicken Meatballs

1 lb Ground chicken (Perdue is best)
1/3 cup Khus Khus (Indian White Poppy Seeds)
2 t grated Ginger
1/2 finely minced onion
1/2 thinly sliced onion
1 cup grated carrot
1 Egg
Salt & Pepper, to taste
1 cup cooked Tiny Star noodles (like Pastina)
Chopped Scallions
2 t Sesame Oil
2 boxes Chicken broth

Mix the chicken, minced onion, egg and Khus Khus together with some salt and pepper. Let sit 20 mins.

Pour the stock in a pot. add the thinly sliced onion, carrots and salt and pepper, over medium, when it
comes to a simmer pull free form meatballs from the bowl of chicken mixture and drop into the broth and simmer 10 mins until done. Turn off heat, add the noodles and sesame oil.

Ladle into bowls, top with ginger and chopped scallions

Note: Khus Khus contains some poppy alkaloids that make people sleepy
