Lillian's Chocolate Delight

Lillian's Chocolate Delight

Lillian was our next door neighbor she weighed around 350 lbs. she was transferred out to PA to work for the railroad out here. Her husband and kids and 2 grandkids stayed in Michigan. She was awaiting retirement in 2 years and didnt want to give up her pension, so she transferred out here instead of being laid off! Well, she never got back to Michigan she died of a heart attack! Her husband was still in Michigan so my mom and I were dispatched to clean out the kitchen till he got out here!
Everything was lard, baconfat, heavy cream! High fat galore! Her husband told us we could take her recipe file box (I'll bet they regret it now) in it I took several cake and desert recipes, this is one of them) One bite and you will know why she was 350 lbs! That being said...enjoy!

The crust:

1 stick butter
1 cup flour
1/4th cup sugar

Mix all together in a bowl, press into the bottom of a large casserole dish (13 x 9), and bake at 375 degrees until lightly golden.

Cool completely

The first layer:

2 tubs whipped cream cheese
1-1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 small tub cool whip

Cream together the cheese, sugar and vanilla until smooth, add the coolwhip. pour and spread on top of the crust,

Then cover that with:

3-4 sliced bananas

Then cover that with:

2 small packages of chocolate Instant pudding prepared using
3 cups milk

Then cover all with:

1 small tub coolwhip

Chill and enjoy!!
