Mexican Corn Dogs With Bonus Savory Taco Funnel Cake


Taco and Jalapeno Flavored Chorizo Corn Dogs with a bonus Savory Taco Funnel Cake

Mexican Corn Dogs

1 Package Quality Chorizo Sausages
Prick the Chorizo all over with a fork and bake in a pan in a 400oF oven till its well done. Drain and pat dry. Stick a Corn Dog stick in each one. If you dont have a tall pot or a deep fryer than cut each in half then skewer and dip.

Heat a tall pot of oil or a deep fryer up

1 1⁄2 cups flour
1 t salt
1 cup cornmeal
1-1/4 t baking powder
1 Package Spicy Taco Seasoning
Minced Pickled Jalapeno

 Toast the cornmeal in a pan, till fragrant and lightly brown, Cool completely. Then mix all the dry ingredients together.
 Beat the following together

1 T Tabasco
2 eggs
1-1/4 cups milk
..
Then add to the dry ingredients and when the oil is ready dip 2 Sausages in the batter and hold them in the hot oil for 1 minute before letting them drop in the fully cook and get brown...Complete all 6-8 sausages.

Serve with Rotell/Velveeta Queso Dip

To make the Savory Taco Funnel Cake

Put the leftover batter in a pastry bag and swirl the batter in the hot oil just like funnel cake, fry until golden on one side and then flip. When its done drain on paper towels and sprinkle with Tajin Mexican Seasoniing...
