Low Carb Fried Green Tomatoes


Zesty and just like the real thing


Low Carb Fried Green Tomatoes

3-4 hard green tomatoes, washed, peeled with a potato peeler and sliced

1 cup Mandelmel
1/2 t salt
1/2 t lemon powder
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
1/4 t cayenne
pepper to taste

Mix all of the above in a shallow bowl

2 eggs, beaten in a bowl

heat cooking oil in a fry pan

Dip each slice in the Mandelmel to coat, then place on a plate.

When the oils hot enough, dip each slice in egg then again in Mandelmel and fry in batches over med-high heat, turning when brown.
Do this for all slices

Drain on papertowels, dust with more lemon powder and salt and serve
