Black Pearl Cake
4 cups flour
3 cups sugar
1 cup Toasted (dark) Sesame Oil
3 cups milk
1/3 cup pureed fresh ginger
6 t baking powder
6 eggs
salt
vanilla
1 bottle black food color
Preheat an oven to 350oF
Grease and flour two circular pans
Whisk the Flour Sugar, baking powder and salt in a bowl
Whisk the Oil, Milk, Ginger, Eggs, and Black Color in another bowl
Mix together all, then pour into the pans and bake for
Remove, cool, even out the tops.
Spread sesame filling in the middle, top with second layer
Frost with black colored canned frosting
Cover with black fondant,
Dust with pearl dust
Serve
Sesame paste
1-1/2 cup black sesame seeds, measured then ground
3/4 cup sugar
2 t potato starch
