Tri Color Three Flavor Carrot Halwa
3-4 Orange Carrots (9-10 oz)
3-4 Purple Carrots (9-10 oz)
3-4 White Carrots (9-10 oz)
3 cups Water
1-1/2 cups Nonfat Dry Milk
1-1/2 cups Sugar
1 t Vanilla or 2 t colorless rose water
1/2 t Cardamom
1/2 t Cinnamon
1 stick Butter
Raisins (optional)
Chopped Nuts
Puree each color of carrot separately.
If using raisins, add at the beginning so they plump up
Place the white carrot puree in a pot with 1 cup water, 1/2 cup milk powder and 1/3 stick of butter
Simmer for 15 mins, until the liquid is almost gone, add the sugar and vanilla/Rose Water and simmer till pudding like.
Spoon into a bowl
Place the orange carrot puree in a pot with 1 cup water, 1/2 cup milk powder and 1/3 stick of butter
Simmer for 15 mins, until the liquid is almost gone, add the sugar and Cinnamon and simmer till pudding like.
Spoon into a bowl
Place the purple carrot puree in a pot with 1 cup water, 1/2 cup milk powder and 1/3 stick of butter
Simmer for 15 mins, until the liquid is almost gone, add the sugar and Cardamom and simmer till pudding like.
Spoon into a bowlSprinkle with nuts, serve
