Homemade Aussie Cherry Ripes (Regular And Reduced Sugar)
2 standard sized bars Dark Chocolate (Lilys or Dove)
2 cups unsweetened flaked Coconut
1 small tub Glaceed Cherries
2 T corn syrup or any sugarfree syrup (like Sukrin or Allulose)
2 T corn syrup or any sugarfree syrup (like Sukrin or Allulose)
Cherry Candy Flavoring
Pulse the coconut in a food processor to mince.
Do the same to the cherries, but mix in 1-1/2 capfuls of the cherry flavor.
Put both in a bowl with the syrup and mix thoroughly.
press into a square container and refrigerate
overnight.
Remove and cut into 10 short strips.
Melt the chocolate...
Break 1 of the bars of the chocolate up, put it in a bowl and nuke 30 secs, add another bar broken up and nuke for 30 secs.
2/3rds of the chocolate will be melted
Stir it till all the chocolate is melted
DO NOT DEVIATE FROM THIS
Then dip all the bars of coconut and cherry in it, coating completely and place on wax paper and set somewhere cool to harden.
Enjoy
